Hello Secret family. As many here know, I am from Turkey and I am working to raise money for the earthquake relief efforts.
As you may know, the death-toll has passed 40,000 with over 10,000 buildings destroyed in Turkey alone. It is estimated that approximately 1M have been displaced from their homes, in freezing temperatures. The destruction is catastrophic; any help will go along way. Here are two organizations that I personally donated to and that accept crypto donations:
1) Ahbap (https://twitter.com/ahbap or ahbap.org) is a local, and trustworthy, NGO that has been extremely active in the last week. They accept crypto donations on different chains. 2) Anka Relief (https://twitter.com/AnkaRelief/status/1623742454372487168?s=20&t=OKqWgRbCJIzt6KR_l-N1iQ) is a crypto aid fund for earthquake relief efforts. The team has been behind some high impact initiatives like UkraineDAO in the past. The donations go to multisig addresses that are set on different chains (for more info: I am one of the multisig signers. Vitalik recently donated 50ETH. In the coming days we will be working with mutliple local NGOs that provide support on the ground. You should be able to use the bridge to send wSCRT. We will work with local fiat off-ramps to convert funds. My intention is to raise $1mn for the cause, i hope you will join me in this effort.
